We offer three jazz bands, based on playing ability. All four bands are conducted by Mrs. Bergstrom.
Jazz Ensemble
Jazz Ensemble is the most advanced group in our program, and is for students who already have experience playing jazz and want to take their skills to the next level. Jazz Ensemble meets during the school day and is a registered class.
Stage Band
Stage Band is for students who are first starting out in our Jazz program or students who are looking to further develop their jazz musicianship and improvisational skills. Stage Band meets during the school day and is a registered class.
Jazz Orchestra
Jazz Orchestra is for students who are new to jazz, want to explore the style, cannot fit Jazz into their schedule, or students who are focusing on developing their playing or music reading fundamentals. Jazz Orchestra meets after school for one rehearsal each week.
GIRLS JAZZ
Girls Jazz is an ensemble dedicated to celebrating the contributions of women in jazz while providing students with opportunities to grow as performers, improvisors, and leaders.
